Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu Hails Uzodimma, Says, Honour Reflects Transformative Leadership
The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South-East, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has congratulated the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, on his conferment with the prestigious “Governor of the Decade” Award by Daily Times Newspaper, describing the honour as a resounding validation of his administration’s transformational leadership and uncommon commitment to public service.
In a statement issued to congratulate the Governor, Arodiogbu said the recognition could not have come at a more appropriate time, noting that Uzodimma’s administration has continued to redefine the possibilities of purposeful governance through bold policies, strategic infrastructure development, institutional reforms and a sustained commitment to the socio-economic advancement of Imo State.
According to him, the “Governor of the Decade” distinction is not merely an award, but a significant affirmation of the quality, consistency and measurable impact of the Uzodimma administration.
“This is an honour that speaks to the substance of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s leadership. It is a recognition of vision translated into action, courage translated into policy, and leadership translated into tangible development.”
The APC national officer further described Uzodimma as “one of the defining political leaders of contemporary South-East Nigeria,” whose administration has demonstrated that visionary leadership, when matched with political will and disciplined execution, can produce enduring results.
He commended the Governor for what he described as “a remarkable record of infrastructural renewal and strategic repositioning of Imo State,” particularly in the areas of road construction, urban renewal, economic development, security and institutional strengthening.
The APC South-East leader said the award also carries broader significance for the South-East, arguing that recognition of excellence in governance enhances the region’s voice and reinforces its capacity to produce leaders capable of competing favourably on the national stage.
“Governor Uzodimma has shown that the South-East can produce leaders whose accomplishments transcend partisan boundaries and command national attention,” Arodiogbu said.
He expressed confidence that the governor’s achievements would continue to inspire a new generation of political leaders who understand that public office is fundamentally an opportunity to create lasting value for the people.
While congratulating the governor, Arodiogbu also applauded Daily Times Newspaper for recognizing and celebrating leadership excellence, stressing that responsible journalism has an important role to play in documenting achievements and encouraging public officials who distinguish themselves in service.
He urged the people of Imo State and members of the APC to continue to support the administration as it consolidates its development agenda.
