Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has approved the immediate appointment of 20 new Permanent Secretaries into the state public service.
The appointments were contained in a public service announcement issued on September 22, 2026, and signed by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Ibe Chinyere, Okafor Charles, Chukwukere Chika, Angela Njoku, Ikeagwu Catherine, De-Nwigwe Ozioma, Edomobi Nonye, Okoro Dominic, Larry-Iwuala Fidelia and Blessing Egbuka A.
Others are Okafor Frank Ifeanyi, Ugboja Vera, Ibigweh Innocent N., Nnorom V.C., Angela Ohiri, Asiegbu C.O.E., Irozuru Joachin, Igwe Felix Anayo, Nwaozor R.N. and Ihunna Opara.
According to the announcement, the new Permanent Secretaries are expected to bring their experience in the public service to bear in the discharge of their responsibilities.
They were also charged with upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discipline and accountability in the performance of their duties.
The state government said the date for the swearing-in ceremony would be announced in due course.
