Sequel to a meeting held at the residence of APC Senatorial candidate  for Owerri Zone, Prince Alex Mbata, where party leaders were instructed to reinvigorate action in their various wards, following which Sir George Eche, former Secretary to Government of Imo state, convened a leadership meeting of his ward comprising ward Excos and top leaders of the ward.

2) The leadership resolved that moving forward, the meeting will be held once a month in Sir George Eche’s residence to organise the party members for the forthcoming elections.

3) The meeting also resolved that all efforts should be put in place to deliver all APC candidates, including the President, the National Assembly, and State House of Assembly Candidates.

4) The leadership equally resolved to work tirelessly to ensure that APC remains strong, resolute, and united, especially in view of perceived strong opposition from candidates of other political parties in Ngor-Okpala.

5) At no time was there any agreement, decision, or resolution to support another candidate outside the four APC candidates for the general elections, even if the perceived candidates of the parties are of Ngor-Okpala origin.

6) At no point in the meeting, the leadership of APC  Ngor-Okpala became a critical issue of discussion except being tangentially mentioned.  In other words, there was no vote of NO confidence on Ngor-Okpala APC leadership.

7) We therefore wish to distance ward 10 and the people of Obiangwu/Ezemba from any disjointed insinuations or perceptions being paraded that Ngor-Okpala APC is disgruntled with the leadership of the party or that Ngor-Okpala is pained by the outcome of the recently concluded APC Senatorial primary election for Imo East.

Finally,  Sir George Ezenna Eche, PhD. called on all  APC members in Obiangwu ward 10, Ngor-Okpala, Owerri zone, and Imo state to remain steadfast and committed to the party and support all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

He further request political jobbers, influence peddlers and machantile name droppers to feel free to apply their ignominious treats and ports in the political parties of their choice and not to drag the name of APC to their already soiled coats of many colours.

Signed

APC leadership

Obiangwu Ward 10
