The Prince Charls and Princess Yvonne Amadi Christian Foundation has been formally established with a vision to support the Church, advance the Gospel, strengthen Christian initiatives and impact lives through sustainable charitable programmes.
The Foundation was inaugurated on Monday, September 7, 2026, with the inauguration of its Board of Trustees and members.
The Foundation is promoted by Prince Charls Amadi and Princess Yvonne Iyobosa Gubemi.
Prince Charls Amadi is a Christian philanthropist whose passion for thanksgiving, service to God and support for the Church inspired the establishment of the Foundation. His vision is to transform personal blessings into a lasting platform for serving God and humanity.
He revealed that the idea for the Foundation was born from his birthday celebration on February 26, which was tagged “Breath of Praise”, adding that the celebration was inspired by Psalm 150:6: “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
According to Amadi, the celebration prompted a deeper question: “What happens after the praise?” That reflection led him to seek a sustainable way of continuing the work beyond the birthday celebration, ultimately giving birth to the Christian Foundation.
As part of its commitment, Amadi revealed that the Foundation is set to establish an annual endowment of ₦300 million from February 2027 to support its activities and contribute to the work of the Church and the spread of the Gospel.
The support promoters of the Foundation are Amadi Akarachi Etinosa, Member representing the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency; Amadi Akuchi Osayaba; Amadi Amarachi Iyabosa; and Ohia Akachi Osayame.
The Board of Trustees is chaired by Archbishop Lucius Ugorji Iwejuru of the Owerri Diocese, while Amadi Akarachi Etinosa serves as Secretary. Their responsibility is to provide direction, oversight and accountability for the Foundation.
Other members of the Board include Rt. Rev. Chukwuma Opara (CATOL); Aux. Bishop Moses Chikwe (CAN Chairman, Imo State); Rt. Rev. Bishop Emmanuel Chigozie Maduwuike; Rev. Bethel Uchenna Nwanebu of the Assemblies of God Church; and Pastor George Ike of the Pentecostal Fellowship, Imo State.
Speaking at the inauguration, Amadi expressed appreciation to the members of the Board for accepting the responsibility, praying that the Foundation would outlive its founders, touch lives, strengthen the Church and advance the Gospel. From a birthday celebration to a ₦300 million annual commitment, the “Breath of Praise” has become a lasting vision of faith, service and giving.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board, Archbishop Ugorji expressed to the Amadi family for the establishment of the Foundation which according to him would be used to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Archbishop noted that Jesus Christ mandated all Christians to go into the world and preach the gospel.
While commending Prince Amadi and his family for floating the foundation, however called upon people who God blessed with resources to support such wonderful gestures.
