The United Isu Progressive Union (UIPU), a prominent socio-political organization known for its philanthropic and developmental impact, has officially endorsed Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu’s for another term in office. The endorsement took place during the union’s annual retreat. Rt. Hon. Iwuanyanwu who represents Nwangele and serves as Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, was praised for his dedication to the union and his constituency.
Speaking at the retreat, the Governor of UIPU, Chief Ugochukwu Duru, drew members’ attention to Iwuanyanwu’s outstanding legislative performance over the past seven years. He stated that another term would further consolidate the gains already made and bring unprecedented development to Nwangele. He then called on members to endorse the lawmaker’s bid. The motion was unanimously accepted by all present.
In his response, Rt. Hon. Iwuanyanwu expressed deep appreciation to the union, describing the endorsement as a strong backbone and propelling force for his campaign. He assured members that he would not relent in his vision to transform the economic and developmental landscape of Nwangele. He pledged to continue serving with dedication and commitment.
The Deputy Speaker also used the occasion to call for support for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s senatorial ambition for Orlu zone. He promised to invite the Governor to an interactive session with UIPU members ahead of the 2027 elections. This, he noted, would strengthen the political collaboration between the union and the state government.
