…. Wraps Up Europe Tour

Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nzekwe, President-General of Orluzurumee, has successfully concluded a landmark European tour aimed at expanding and strengthening the presence of Orluzurumee Union across Europe.

In a historic finale held in Luxembourg weekend, Hon. Nzekwe presided over the official inauguration of a newly-formed chapter uniting Orlu sons and daughters living Luxembourg, Belgium, and France. The inauguration marked a major milestone in the diaspora engagement strategy of the Orluzurumee Union under his visionary leadership.

The newly inaugurated chapter under an interim executive council led by Chief Osondu Ogazi, Agbaegonkiti of Orlu as President and Chief Tony Ebosie as Vice President is the first of its kind im the history of Orluzurumee. The event was well-attended, with dignitaries including the current President of the Igbo Union and other executive members present to show their support and solidarity.

In his address, the chapter President, Chief Ogazi expressed deep enthusiasm about collaborating closely with Orluzurumee Nigeria to support the development of Orlu Zone. He passionately spoke on the urgent need to empower the youth through skills development, job creation and industrialization, noting that their chapter is eager to invest in projects that would bring real change.

However, he emphatic that security remains a key concern for the diaspora. He noted that while many in the diaspora are ready to bring investments home, there must be a safer and more stable environment to guarantee the safety of those investments.

In his words, “Our willingness to build industries and create employment opportunities for Orlu youths is very strong, but we need assurances that our investments will not be lost due to insecurity. A stable Orlu is a prosperous Orlu. We want to help build it, but security must be taken seriously.”

He called on all stakeholders- community leaders, traditional rulers, the government, and youth organizations- to join hands in restoring lasting peace to the region so that genuine development efforts can thrive.

Hon. Prince Nzekwe, in his remarks, commended the chapter’s boldness and clarity of vision. He reassured them that his administration recognizes the critical importance of security in attracting development and has already begun consultations with relevant authorities and grassroots leaders to address the situation holistically.

“Orlu will rise again. With the support of our people abroad and the commitment of our people at home, we will overcome every challenge standing in the way of progress,”
Nzekwe declared.

The Europe tour, which commenced last month, has seen Prince Nzekwe activate new chapters, revive dormant ones and build powerful connections with the Orlu diaspora. His leadership continues to inspire hope, unity, and action, both at home and abroad.
