The Executive Governor of Imo state,Sen.Hope Uzodimma has okayed the appointment of Ezinwa Chuks Metu as the Secretary,Imo State Universal Basic Education Board,IMSUBEB, with effect from Wednesday, February,4,2025.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Owerri by the Chief Press Secretary/Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor of Imo state,Sen.Uzodimma,Mr.Oguwuike Nwachukwu, which also informed that the inauguration of the IMSUBEB Secretary and other appointees of the Board will take place at a later date.
The statement further informed that Ezinwa Chuks Metu was found worthy of the appointment by Gov.Hope Uzodimma in consideration of his stewardship, managerial know-how, and immeasurable support for the Shared Prosperity administration in the state led by Gov.Uzodimma, among other antecedents of the newly appointed IMSUBEB Scribe.
However,in his acceptance speech, Ezinwa Metu, while pledging to bring his secretarial experience to bear in service, also called for maximum co-operation and assistance to the Chairman of the Board by members in moving the IMSUBEB to greater heights.
Also thanking the Governor,Sen.Hope Uzodimma for finding him worthy of the appointment,Metu,prayed God to grant him the requisite wisdom and courage to manage the Board’s secretariat effectively in the overall good Interest of the universal basic education in the state.
Ezinwa Chuks Metu hails from Eziama Community in Ikeduru LGA of Imo state.
He is married with children.
