In continuation of his ongoing engagements, awareness creation and mobilization of local organizations and industries for a successful and fruitful Imo State Economic Summit 2025, the Commissioner for Finance and Coordinating Economy, Mr Chuck Chuckuemeka has engaged the leadership and members of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the National Association of Academic Technologists, Imo State Artisans Association (ISARTA), Imo State Footwear, Leather and Allied Products Manufacturers Group (IFLAPMAG) and other industrial associations doing business with the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Solid Minerals, and the Imo State Investment Promotion Agency (ISIPA).

Speaking at the two separate meetings, Mr Chuckuemeka reminded the entrepreneurs of their critical role and opportunities they stand to gain from interacting with global business leaders and investors who are coming to the state for the summit.

He made it clear that the business environment in Imo State is more friendly now due to the various reforms, innovations and infrastructure being put in place by His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State like the Digitization and commissioning of Imo Land Information Service Centre, the setting up Imo Industrial Policy, the Imo State 10 years Development Plan, the Skill Up Imo project, Orashi Electricity project, Health and massive road infrastructure and other wonderful projects that have continued to raise Imo State higher in the Ease of Doing Business ranking by the Presidential Enabling Business Council.

Commissioner Chuckuemeka who is also the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee charged them to tap from the opportunity presented by the summit by registering free of charge on www.imoeconomicsummit.com/register as their will be exhibition stand for their products and services. He also announced that there are plans for prize reward for exceptional local exhibitors by Bank of Industries and other financial institutions.

In their separate speeches, the Commissioner for Industries, Mines and Solid Minerals Barr. Jerry Egemba and the Director-General Imo State Investment Promotion Agency, who is the Secretary of the Committee Dr Jude Nzeakor, restated that come Thursday 4th to Friday 5th December Imo will witness an unprecedented business summit that will stimulate the economy and urged the entrepreneurs and industrialists to leverage the opportunity.
