Commends Governor’s Legacy at Mgbidi Secondary School,

The Mgbidi Secondary School Old Boys Association (MSSOBA) has hailed Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructure renewal across Imo State.

In a statement signed by the association’s Pioneer President and Founder, Dr. Chris Chukwuemeka Ekwueme, MSSOBA described the commissioning of the 52-kilometer Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Road, the Control–Assumpta Twin Flyover, and the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) as “historic milestones reflecting purposeful governance, visionary leadership, and a rekindled hope for the people of Imo State.”

Dr. Ekwueme said the ongoing wave of development in the state mirrors the Shared Prosperity Vision of Governor Uzodinma, which has inspired optimism and confidence among the populace.

“What we are witnessing today in Imo is a profound transformation anchored on vision, discipline, and service,” Dr. Ekwueme stated. “As proud alumni of Mgbidi Secondary School, we are deeply moved by the Governor’s personal commitment to the renovation and facelift of our alma mater — a gesture that demonstrates his enduring love for education and loyalty as an old boy.”

The association urged government at all levels to sustain development by extending more projects to Mgbidi and Oru West Local Government Area, particularly in road infrastructure, education, and primary healthcare — sectors it described as critical to grassroots empowerment and youth development.

Reaffirming the group’s commitment to nation-building, Dr. Ekwueme expressed MSSOBA’s readiness to collaborate with the state government in promoting education, community development, and skills acquisition initiatives aligned with state priorities.

“MSSOBA remains fully committed to initiatives that uplift our alma mater, empower our youth, and strengthen our communities,” he said. “These newly inaugurated projects represent more than government achievements — they are powerful reminders of what is possible when leadership, vision, and service converge harmoniously.”

The statement concluded with a call for unity among all old students of Mgbidi Secondary School, urging them to rally behind the association’s vision of educational excellence, community advancement, and sustained partnership with government.
