The 12 wards of Mbaitoli Local Government Area converged on the field of St Catherine’s Community Primary School, Obazu Mbieri, for the inauguration of LGA executives of The Mazi Organization, TMO.
Following the recent swearing in of TMO Executives in the State and inauguration of the various Directorates, all 27 Local Government Areas were mandated to establish TMO Executives in their respective LGAs.
It was no surprise however, that Mbaitoli LGA was the first to fully comply with the and earning the right to today’s first LGA inauguration.
More significantly, Mbaitoli is very strategic for anyone hoping to win an election in the state due to its enormous voting population and political dexterity.
The Director General of TMO, Hon Henry Onwukwe, speaking at the occasion, recast Mbaitoli’s past contributions to the growth and development of the State and reiterated that the LGA still holds the capacity to shape the future of Imo through a constructive partnership with Dr. Matthew Chima Amadi.
Hon Onwukwe welcomed the LGA Executive nominees and assured them that their dedication and commitment will be matched by the unwavering determination of Dr Chima Amadi to liberate Imo State from the grip of the fraternity of con men who have squeezed the life out of our people.
The ambiance of the occasion was further enriched by the gracious presence of an illustrious son of Ikeduru, in the person of Chief Denis Okwu, more popularly known as Sweet Apples, who had recently declared for Action Peoples Party( APP), the party of Dr Chima Matthew Amadi.
Sweet Apples also has his sights locked on the Mbaike Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections. After several attempts which ended at party primaries, he is confident that his alliance with TMO will be the jinx breaker.
In his remarks, High Chief Denis Okwu reminded the people of Mbaike of the consecutive lack luster representations they have received in recent years and assured them that he will take them around the curve towards a more focused and purposeful representation.
On hand to perform the inauguration was Dr. Uche Nwosu, the head of the Directorate of Legal Affairs of TMO.
The newly inaugurated executives shared their uncontrollable joy for being considered worthy of such high office and pledged to uphold their oath of office.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the Traditional Prime Minister of Obazu Mbieri Autonomous Community,….. remarked that at the age of 90 and after years of unfulfilled promises by politicians he decided to dump any hope for a change, but after a personal encounter with Dr. Chima Amadi, he reconsidered to give it one last chance.
He confirmed that Dr Amadi reactivated his faith in the possibility of a prosperous and rule of law based Imo State.
The Traditional Prime Minister urged the newly inaugurated officers to evangelize Dr Amadi”s message of reform and transformation across every household in Mbaitoli and beyond.
The transformation train of TMO has just left the station and shall not return until it has made a stop at every LGA of the State.
