The apex sociocultural organization of the Orlu Zone, Orluzurumee Worldwide, has expressed deep shock, outrage and unequivocal condemnation over the gruesome killings that occurred in Umualoma, Ndiakunwanta Uno, and Nchejezie in Arondizuogu, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State last week.
According to a release issued by the President General Orluzurumee, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe on Monday, the group described the “murder of innocent citizens in a once peaceful community as a heinous act that strikes at the very heart of humanity, justice and over collective dignity as Ndi Orlu.

The continued spate of bloodletting, lawlessness and violent insecurity in parts of Imo State, especially in Arondizuogu, Agvva and surrounding areas, is not only unacceptable but a dangerous threat to the very fabric of Igbo society.
“Life is precious and should be protected at all cost. We warn iri unequivocal terms that our people can no longer sit and watch the Fulani herdsmen and other miscreants decimate the population of our people in cold blood, just like they did in Agwa and other communities of Orlu nation. If the security agencies fail to protect the lives and properly of the citizens, they may be constrained to seek self-help.
“We commiserate with the grieving families and the people of Arondizuogu over this tragic loss. We call for calm even as we demand that the relevant security agencies act swiftly, decisively and transparently to investigate and bring the perpetrators of these crimes to justice.
“ORLUZURUMEE calls on the Imo State Government and all security stakeholders to prioritize the restoration of peace, security, and confidence in the region. We urge the Federal Government to intensify efforts in addressing the root causes of insecurity and ensuring the protection of lives and property of all Nigerians, regardless of their location.
“We also appeal to traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth groups to work in synergy to root out criminal elements and restore the age-long values of peace, unity, and respect for human life and property in our homeland.
“In this critical moment, ORLUZURUMEE Worldwide reiterates its commitment to the promotion of peace, justice and the defense of the fundamental rights of our people. We cannot afford to keep silent while our communities bleed,
