The ugly scenario trending in the last couple of days in the Imo State political space which is orchestrated in bad fate by a handful of political actors feeding fat and hiding under the cover of the over debated issue of Charter of Equity is snowballing to a grand design crafted to cause disaffection, skirmishes and generate bad blood among diverse groups in the State. It is gradually becoming clear that these persons are daring and overbearing with their clandestine and nocturnal hovering around and across places to sow seeds of bitterness and discord for selfish reasons that are far from the purportedly claimed propagation and championing of the supposed Charter of Equity.
Imo State as a State belongs to all of us.There are no individuals or Zone that are adorned with a superior badge of Imo indigeneship over others and this becomes worrisome when some persons arrogate nonexistent relevance and importance to themselves as exponents of Charter of Equity and political warlords.These individuals have engaged in series of surreptitious activities that are capable of shattering the highly cherished, nurtured and sustained peace enterprise of the State. This obviously threatens and exposes the fragile security situation of the State to greater propensity of danger and there is no reason why this deliberate machination to induce crises and distract the government of Imo State under Senator Hope Uzodimma should be allowed to continue.
It has become pertinent and obviously compelling to sound it loud and clear that those behind this regime of unwarranted skirmishes and orchestration of hate, divisiveness and narrow cleavages in the hideous and deceptive name of Charter of Equity should be warned to retrace their steps or get prepared to be held responsible in the event of civil unrest or turmoil of any sort in the State. The Government and the good people of Imo should take appropriate measures to curtal the excesses of these selfish political actors and trouble makers who are on a voyage of mischief and bent on having their way or inflicting destruction on the polity of the State. All men and women of goodwill should rise in unison to condemn this mode of desperation that is poised to cause ruin. Political power is not do or die! Imo State belongs to the three component Zones, and no persons should be allowed to appropriate sectional garb in pretense to escalate unnecessary irredentism and hold the State to ransom because of the quest for power. Enough of this excesses and undue rascality.
We say no to paid agent politicians. We say no to non state actors politicians. We say no to doubleface, towncryers, and gullible politicians, we say no to reacharge card politicians….
Governor Hope UZODIMMA is laying a strong development foundation in infrastructure , human capital development, building trust in governance that who ever that will succeed him will have a smooth ride in governance like the same way the Commander in Chief, Bola Ahmed Tinubu laid a strong foundation in Lagos State, that is why Lagos of today is growing in infrastructure and economic development, that’s the same way IMO STATE will be more great after Governor UZODIMMA…
