In a significant move to digitize fuel access and reshape Nigeria’s downstream energy sector, Fidelity Bank Plc and NNPC Retail have officially launched the NR Fuel App, a digital solution designed to deliver seamless, secure, and smart fuel purchasing experiences to millions of Nigerians.

Delivering the keynote address at the launch, Stanley Amuchie, Executive Director and Chief Operations and Information Officer of Fidelity Bank, declared the partnership as a visionary step toward economic modernization and inclusive growth.

“This is not just about fuel,” Amuchie said. “It’s about setting bold new standards. It’s not just about today. The future is here. The future is digital. The future is NR Fuel.”

The NR Fuel App enables users to locate nearby fuel stations in real time, make cashless payments, manage fleet purchases, schedule bulk orders, and even arrange home deliveries. It ushers in a new era of convenience and efficiency for consumers and businesses alike.

Describing the initiative as a blend of innovation and nation-building, Amuchie noted that the partnership transcends business interests.

“This isn’t simply a commercial venture, it’s a commitment to building smarter systems, empowering people, and accelerating national development,” he said.

He further stressed Fidelity Bank’s dedication to deepening digital adoption and financial inclusion through strategic collaborations like this.

“We are not just participating, we are invested. Because when this succeeds, Nigeria wins,” Amuchie stated.

Commending NNPC Retail for its bold vision and leadership, Amuchie framed the launch of the NR Fuel App as a milestone in public-private synergy, designed to address structural inefficiencies while driving innovation in fuel distribution.

He concluded with a quote from Alan Kay, emphasizing the spirit behind the project, “the best way to predict the future is to invent it.”
