In a remarkable display of solidarity and unwavering loyalty, two foundation members of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s political family; Hon Noble Atulegwu, former Commissioner for Lands; Comrade Simon Ebegbulem, former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry; paid a surprise courtesy visit to their former commissioner colleague, Hon Ikechukwu Umeh at the All Progressives Congress (APC) State party’s Secretariat on Okigwe Road, Owerri. Their visit came on the heels of the recent fire incident at the Secretariat, prompting them to identify with their former colleague at this challenging moment.
Speaking during the visit, the duo disclosed that their mission was mainly to express solidarity with the office of the Organizing Secretary over the unfortunate incident, while thanking God that no major damage was recorded. They commended the Chairman, the Organising Secretary, and the Secretariat staff for their swift, coordinated response that helped contain the situation. According to them, the efficient handling of the emergency demonstrated the commitment and readiness of the party’s administrative structure.
The former commissioners further extolled their leader, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for his visionary and proactive governance style, which they said has continued to transform Imo State in human capital development and infrastructural renewal. They described the governor as a focused leader whose policies and reforms have repositioned the state as an emerging investment hub. They pledged their unalloyed loyalty, support, and continued alignment with his administration and the party’s broader developmental agenda.
In related development, another ally of Hon Umeh, Chief Victor Nwokeabia, who was on a working visit to Imo State also made out time to identify with his workaholic partner in progress, Hon Umeh over the unfortunate fire incident at the party secretariat.
Receiving the delegation, the State Organising Secretary, Hon Ikechukwu Umeh, expressed appreciation for the thoughtful visit, describing it as a testament to their steadfastness and commitment to the collective interest of the party. He encouraged them to sustain their support for the governor and the APC, noting that such gestures strengthen internal cohesion and reinforce the party’s resolve to deliver more democratic dividends to the people of Imo State.
