. Applauds him for massive infrastructure in Imo
Former Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Barr Chris Okewulonu has advocated for a third term for Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, considering his massive infrastructural development across the nooks and crannies of Imo State.
Okewulonu stated this last weekend while addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders at Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Convention Centre Owerri.
Okewulonu who is an APC stalwart noted that advocating for a third term for Uzodimma became necessary following his massive infrastructural and human capital development across Imo State for the overall benefit of the entire Imo people.
The legal icon pointed out that the rate at which Governor Hope Uzodimma is embarking on people-oriented projects across the State as a second term governor will definitely compel any rational and patriotic Imolite to endorse him for a third term in order to continue his good works in the state.
Okewulonu however regretted that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is yet to be amended against the maximum two terms for Governors as stipulated in the Nigerian constitution.
He therefore called on all Imolites, irrespective of party affiliation to give maximum support to the God-fearing Governor of Imo State towards providing more dividends of democracy to Imo people.
Ebekuodike Obowo emphasized that the massive land mark projects completed and on-going across the State by Governor Uzodimma led administration remain an eloquent testimony that the Governor has done wonderfully well for Imo people .
The grassroot politician equally stressed that Uzodimma from all indications has shown that governance is all about providing the people with dividends of democracy.
The former Commissioner for Works Housing and Transport in Imo State equally used the occasion to commend Governor Hope Uzodimma who is also the Chairman of APC Governors’ Forum in Nigeria for building Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu international convention Center Owerri and naming it after an elder statesman and described it as a state of the art edifice.
Okewulonu who is an known politician equally poured encomium on Uzodimma for his vision for the state, especially in the areas of massive road constructions, salary increment for Imo Civil servants,digital empowerment of 300,000 Imo Youths through the skill up Imo digital economy Agenda, establishment of independent power plant and the introduction of health insurance scheme across the political wards in Imo State, thereby making health care available to the rural dwellers.
While assuring the Governor of unflinching support of All Progressives Congress leaders, stakeholders and members, the APC stalwart appealed to Imo people to always appreciate God for giving them Senator Hope Uzodimma as their governor.
