A socio-cultural association the Orluzurumee has sympathized with the victims and families of all those affected by the recent gas explosion that occurred in Orlu.
In a statement issued on its behalf, the President General of Orluzurumee, Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe extended their condolences to the victims and their families and indeed all those affected by the devastating incident which had left every one of them in shock.
According to the President General, Orluzurumee is particularly saddened by the loss of lives, injuries sustained and destruction of properties as their hearts go out to everyone who is enduring the pains and losses caused by the tragedy.
Nzekwe said that moment like this test the strength and unity of a community and that the Association is standing in full solidarity with the people during this difficult time.
He said that as a body committed to the development and wellbeing of the people, Orluzurumee wishes to assure all the affected people that it shares in their grief, and urged all the relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the cause of the explosion and take steps to prevent future occurrences as well as appealed for swift medical and humanitarian assistance for the victims.
