OVERVIEW.
The meeting of UGIRI CLAN ELDERS COUNCIL, Isiala mbano LGA IMO State held at the Palatial home of the Apex leader Of Ugiri Clan Elders Council Dr.Sir.Ben.Uwakwem-Ihiechinyeremba UGIRI Clan had participants from all the 5 INEC WARDS and 12 Autonomous Communties in Ugiri Clan.
The meeting also had in attendance the Youthful Executive Chairman of ISIALA MBANO LGA, Evang.Chika Okoroike and other stakeholders and leaders from Ugiri clan in Isiala Mbano LGA.
The Convener and Apex leader of the COUNCIL, Dr. Sir.Ben.Uwakwem-IHIECHINYEREMBA Ugiri Clan said that the meeting was at the instance of the charter Of Equity for Imo state Governorship come 2027.
He said that the Governor Distinguished Sen.Hope UZODIMMA has Done very well for IMO people and as such Ugiri Clan and the entire Isiala mbano people should align themselves in totality to all his policies and programs .He also enjoined the Stakeholders at the meeting to continue giving the Governor their unalloyed support to his administration in Imo state.
As the Apex leader of Ugiri Clan, IHIEECHINYEREMBA UGIRI CLAN thanked the governor on behalf of the Good people of Isiala LGA for the choice of the vibrant Executive chairman of ISIALA MBANO LGA,Evang. Okoroike and urged everyone to also support and partner with him for effective job delivery in Isiala Mbano LGA.
He said that within few months in office,the Governor, through the Executive chairman has shown Isiala mbano love through quality job execution especially at the aggressive erosion site at Nkwo Mbaa and other erosion sites in ISIALA MBANO.
He urged members to remain focused and support all the ideals of the government in appreciation.
As an Apex organization in Isiala MBANO ,the meeting also had in attendance the two former Executive chairmen in Isiala mbano, Chief AUSTIN NWAIGWE and Clan Chief Tony black Nduka.
Also in attendance were Dr Uche Anyanwu -SA to the Governor on protocol matters,Comr.Ebirinwa Chijioke the PG of all President Generals in ISIALA mbano,Chief Mrs Ego Ariaratu who represented the PG of women PGs in Isiala MBANO, Councillors from both UMUOZU and Ogbor wards wards also attended,Chief sir Emma. Ochiagha,ENGR. Vincent Ike -The assistant Secretary , Ugiri Clan Elders Council ,Chief Bona NWAIGWE -the Liaison officer to the COUNCIL of Traditional rulers in Ugiri clan and a host of other Stakeholders .
The youths were not left out as the SA to the Executive Chairman of ISIALA MBANO LGA represented them at the meeting .
Evang.Okoroike ,the executive Chairman of ISIALA MBANO LGA who was present at the Elders Council meeting thanked the convener,Dr. Sir Ben.Uwakwem and said that the meeting was to encourage the people not to be distracted in their support to the administration of His Excellency,the executive Governor of Imo State.
He also said that the Governor has been magnanimous in appointments and should be encouraged to do more.
Evang.Okoroike also Used the opportunity to appreciate all the leaders present at the meeting for finding out time to come and said it show that Isiala mbano is very formidable as usual in support of His Excellency, Governor Hope UZODIMMA’s Administration and promised them that more democratic dividends would be coming to Isiala MBANO LGA.
Other Stakeholders who spoke at the meeting Included CLAN chief Tonyblack Nduka, Chief Austin NWAIGWE and others as they Commended Evang.Okoroike for replicating the Ideals of the State Government at the Grassroot.
RESOLUTIONS/ RECOMMENDATIONS:
Based on the above deliberation ,the Elders Council thanked His Excellency the Executive Governor of IMO regarding his magnanimous dispositions to the good people of IMO state and indeed ISIALA MBANO LGA,and resolved as follows;
1.That Ugiri clan Elders Council Shall continue to aligns herself totally to all the programs and policies of His Excellency, DIST .SEN.HOPE UZODINMA,THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE especially on the charter of Equity as been discussed now in Imo state.
2.Ugiri Clan Recommends that the Governor should Look towards Okigwe Zone for his Successor come 2027.
3.UGIRI CLAN ELDERS COUNCIL shall Support Governor’s choice of Successor come 2027.
APPRECIATION:
Ugiri Clan Elders council Appreciates the Executive Governor of IMO state state ,Dist. Sen. Hope UZODIMMA for his show of love to Isiala MBANO LGA for always harkening to the plight of Ndi Isiala mbano even as he made possible the reconstruction of the major Owerri -Okigwe Road and also for the reconstruction of the Nkwo Mbaa bridge that nearly cut off Ugiri Clan from the rest of the State .
Ugiri Clan is also thankful to the LEADERSHIP OF OKIGWE GLOBAL ELDERS FORUM for their stand on the charter of Equity in Imo state for Imo Governorship of 2027.
