Dr. Princess Gloria Akobundu Phd, describing her as a “capable, experienced, and visionary leader” ready to represent the zone effectively at the national level.
Dr. Philip Shaibu, Chairman of the APC Senatorial Aspirants Screening Committee, led the glowing assessment of Princess Akobundu during the screening exercise. Sources close to the committee revealed that she sailed through the rigorous process with flying colours, earning unanimous praise for her track record in public service, leadership, and commitment to the ideals of the APC.
Princess Gloria Akobundu, former National Coordinator/CEO of the Africa Union Development Agency – New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD) Nigeria, is a seasoned administrator, development expert, and prominent APC stalwart from Imo State. Her extensive experience in governance, institutional reforms, and grassroots mobilization has positioned her as a formidable contender for the Imo North (Okigwe Zone) senatorial seat.
Speaking after the screening, a member of the committee who preferred anonymity noted: “Princess Akobundu demonstrated deep knowledge of national issues, especially in the areas of economic development, women and youth empowerment, and security.
