The newly inaugurated ward Executive of All Progressives Congress (APC), Avutu ward in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State has been charged to ensure the victory of all APC candidates in Avutu during the 2027 general elections.

Former Secretary to the State Government (SSG)Imo State, Barr Chris Okewulonu gave the charge last Friday in Avutu during the inauguration of APC ward Executive in Avutu,Obowo LGA.

Barr Okewulonu who is the APC apex leader in Avutu ward noted that the primary responsibility of ward Executive of any political party is to ensure the victory of it’s party in any election.

While congratulating the ward Executive on their emergence, the former information and Culture Commissioner in Imo State urged the Avutu ward leaders to shun anti party activities and respect the leaders and members of the party in all their dealings.

Ebekuodike Obowo therefore expressed confidence on the caliber of the members of the ward Executive, pointing out that with them, victory is of APC in Avutu in 2027 polls and enjoined them to treat all aspirants equally.

The former Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport equally used the occasion to appeal to the immediate past executive of APC in Avutu who were not re elected, but came in their numbers not to see themselves as been rejected, but can still serve the party in other capacities and commended former APC Chairman in Avutu, Elder Bonaventure …… and other for attending the inauguration.

Speaking at the epoch – making event , the Imo APC Assistant Secretary, Hon Ezenwa Nwosi who is from.Avutu said that the present APC in Imo State has come to take he party to the next level and urged new ward leaders and members to work for the victory of the party in all the elections in 2027.

In his remarks, the ApC Chairman in Obowo LGA, Chief Tony Osuagwu noted that the people of Avutu should be greatful to God for having late Sam Mbakwe as their son whom he pointed out groomed Barr Okewulonu and others politically and commended Barr Okewulonu for his sacrifice,commitment and support to APC in Avutu and Obowo LGA.

Inaugurating Avutu ward Executive earlier, the ward Chairman, Hon Ajunwan Enyichukwu also charged his members to be dedicated to their duties ,especially in mobilizing for new members, respecting party leaders/laws and carry all members along as well as giving all ApC aspirants equally opportunity.

Other speakers who spoke at the event including the Councillor for Avutu ward, Hon Agunwa Ugochukwu, Barr Mike Nduneche, Chief Alex Mbakwe charged the new ward leaders to live up to their responsibilities and commended Barr Chris Okewulonu for his unrelenting efforts at always connecting Avutu and Obowo to national politics.

They assured the new ward Executive of their unflinching support and advised them to see all APC as a family in Avutu and Obowo respectively.

The ward inauguration ceremony was well attended by APC leaders and members from within and outside Avutu ward including the Chairman Obowo LGa, Barr Obioma Ehirim represented by his Deputy, President – Generals, Women leaders,Youth leaders and other notable personalities.

Highpoint of the event was a general prayer to God to lift their illustrious Son, Barr Chris Okewulonu to a higher level politically.
