Eminent elder statesman, Chief J S Enyogasi OK 2000 (Okpara Okigwe) has extended his warm felicitations to Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume on the occasion of his recent birthday.
Okpara Okigwe, in a press release felicitates with the former senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume who was the pioneer senator that represented the people of Okigwe zone in the Senate following the advent of the current democratic dispensation between 1999 and 2007.
Okpara Okigwe who is now an elder statesman and now apolitical said that he could not fail to celebrate with Araraume over his birthday because Araraume is like a son to him having known him for over 40 years right from his childhood.
According to Okpara Okigwe, as a father figure to all Okigwe zone sons and daughters, I do not discriminate against any of them based on their political inclinations and leanings. I celebrate with them when they are celebrating birthdays and political appointments and also mourn with them whenever they are bereaved because I am no longer in politics as I used to be during the time of Chief Sam Onunaka Mbakwe when I was a partisan politician of Nigerian Political Party (NPP) which was Mbakwe’s party at the time.
This time around, I support all of them in their political inclinations and leanings as far as they have the development of the Okigwe zone and Imo State at the back of their hearts.
He also said that for the fact that Araraume has been minding his business and does not oppose or fight the government in power both at the state and federal levels gladdens his heart because every reasonable politician should support any progressive Government in power for the overall development of the state and the country. Finally, he wishes Araraume a memorable birthday and many more years of celebration in good health and greater achievements.
