In a landmark move that reaffirms its commitment to global creative excellence and youth empowerment, Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, has officially appointed Prof. Chinedu Asinu-Anosike, KSC, JP, Founder of the Cona Anosike Support Foundation, (CONASUF INC.) as Consultant for the International Students’ Film Festival (ISFF) 2025.

Scheduled to hold from November 19th to 22nd, 2025, at Imo State University, the festival will attract young filmmakers, scholars, and industry practitioners from around the world to showcase, celebrate, and discuss the future of cinema, storytelling, and digital creativity.

A Letter of appointment rooted in Trust and Vision In a formal letter dated 30th June, 2025, jointly signed by Gloria Ernest-Samuel, Ph.D, Chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), and Dr. Anthony Ehimatie, Head of Department, Theatre Arts, IMSU, Prof. Anosike was praised for his outstanding contributions to the film industry and unwavering commitment to youth mentorship and innovation.

“We are thrilled to appoint you as a Consultant for our upcoming International Students’ Film Festival,” the letter read. “Your expertise and creative vision will be invaluable in helping us curate a world-class festival experience.”

Outlined responsibilities of the Consultant Include:

  • Building connections with local, state, and national institutions to support and sponsor the ISFF.
  • Advising the LOC on content creation, programming strategy, marketing, and outreach.
  • Enhancing audience engagement through workshops, panels, and artistic collaborations.
  • Leading innovation through digital storytelling and youth-focused initiatives.

Prof. Anosike’s official term as Consultant runs from 1st July to 23rd November 2025, during which he and his foundation will be fully recognized as the official consultant for the ISFF.
