….Presents Chief Kennedy Iwuala as the rightful choice of the Community 

The people of Umuobasi Amaraku proposed Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State has rejected what the people described as self imposition of one Mr. Aloyious Odubam as the Eze Elect of the proposed Community. 

Speaking during the outright rejection of Mr. Odubam as the Eze Elect of the proposed Obasi-Amaraku Community by the Community leaders comprising of the elders, Chiefs, Ndi Nze, Ichies, village chairmen of all the villages that made up of the proposed Umuobasi-Amaraku Community including critical stakeholders who trooped out in their large numbers to reject the self imposition of a man known as a political jobber. 

The chairman of the Umuobasi-Amaraku Community, Mr. Ezirim Nathaniel expressed shock at the self imposition of Mr. Odubam by himself as the Eze Elect of the proposed obasi-Amaraku Community. 

He called on the people of the Community not to take laws into their hands and wondered why Mr. Odubam will go as far as imposing himself as the Eze Elect of the proposed Community. 

Mr. Ezirim said that it was a known fact that the late Chief David Iwuala’s family(Umunnawuike 1) remains the first family in the whole of Umuobasi Amaraku Community. 

He enjoined them not to entertain any fear of any kind, saying that the culture and traditions of the people remains sacrosanct. 

The chairman disclosed that the people of the proposed Community has already agreed that the new Eze Elect of the Community will be Chief Kennedy Iwuala who is the rightful choice of the people, being the first family of the Umuobasi-Amaraku community. 

Speaking further, Nze Benjamin Iwuanyawu(Agu Ezeala 11) applauded the people for their patience in what the people described as unwarranted provocation by Chief Aloyious Odubam who imposed himself as the Eze Elect of Proposed Obasi -Amaraku Autonomous Community. 

He said that the people are united in their full support for Chief Kennedy Iwuala whom the people has chosen to steer the ship of the proposed Community. 

According to Mr. Samuel Iwuanyawu, Vice chairman Umuezeala, he expressed  his displeasure with Mr. Odubam and his co- travelers in the whole drama they displayed, saying that in the whole of Umuezeala, in term of sharing formula, the people share things according to order of seniority and that Chief Kennedy Iwuala family is the chosen one to lead the Umuobasi Amaraku proposed Community. 

In his own contribution, Mr. Chibuzor Amam Duru, General Secretary of Umuezedim, added that they are here to reaffirm their stand that the Eze Elect of the proposed Umuobasi Amaraku Autonomous Community should be according to order of seniority which Ezealanyanwu where the new Eze Elect comes from. 

Speaking further, Chief Cornelius Emeagi (Obiadada 1 of Amaraku Ancient kingdom) the village head of Umudimofor Umuobasi- Amaraku disclosed that during the formation of the Amaraku Ancient kingdom, the people resolved, including the six village heads agreed that the Ezeship stool will be according to headship and order of seniority. He said that when the people brought the idea to seek for autonomy, the people agreed that the people of Umuezeala will produce the next Eze Elect of the proposed Umuobasi Amaraku Community. 

Adding his voice, Chief Onyemaechi Ofoji(Eziokwugaachionodo 1 of Amaraku) the village head of Umuduruebo wondered why Aloyious Odubam will impose himself as the Eze Elect, pointing  out that since he was a child, the culture and traditions of the people of Umuobasi, states that the people shares everything in the Community according to seniority.

He disclosed that since the return of peace in the Community, the people agreed that the proposed Umuobasi-Amaraku Autonomous will need a place to erect a befitting hall where the affairs of the people will be discussed and the Eze Elect, Chief Kennedy Iwuala donated the land more than ten years ago for the proposed town hall. 

He noted that the people of Umuobasi Amaraku Autonomous Community has chosen Chief Kennedy Iwuala as the Eze Elect of the proposed Umuobasi Amaraku Autonomous.
