. FISHERIES DEVELOPMENT, MOBILE PHONE REPAIRS TOO
…Commences regular medical outreach and free eye treatment in the nine LGAs of Owerri Zone.
The Senator representing Imo East Senatorial District and the leader of the Peoples’ Movement, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, has concluded the training of over two thousand, five hundred youths, under his skill acquisition program .
The beneficiaries who were trained at the Senator Onyewuchi Ultra modern Skill Acquisition Centre, Owerri North LGA and Unique Computer Institute, one of the premier ICT training institutes in Owerri, were trained in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ICT, Fisheries development and mobile Phone Repairs.
The participants drawn from the nine LGAs of imo East Senatorial District, unanimously lauded Senator Onyewuchi’s unwavering commitment and dedication, to using skills training and empowerment to address joblessness,poverty and crime in the zone.
Those who spoke in the different training centres after the exercise: Anochiri Henry, Engr Henry Emmanuel, Ahumaraezema Okoro and Uba Justus Ekeh, Artificial intelligence and ICT; Maduabuchi Samuel and Chukwu Sylvia, Mobile Phone Repairs, and Sylva Onyekachi and Emmanuel Anamemena, Fisheries and Aqua Culture, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for availing them the opportunity to be trained in life changing skills.
They vowed to put the skills they acquired into practice when they get back home, to enable them become useful to themselves, families and the society.
At the end of the intensive training conducted by experts in the various skills, the trainees were given take off grants and starter packs, which they promised to put to good use.
In a related development, the Senator over the weekend also started another round of his regular medical outreach and free eye treatment, in Owerri Municipal Council and Owerri North.
The free medical mission which will take place in all the 9 LGA’s in the Zone, will involve diagnosis and treatment, free eye screening and distribution of eyeglasses.
