The leadership of Eziama Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, has called on the chairman of the council, Evang.
Chika Okoroike to intervene in what it calls the Looming danger/crisis by some indigenes of the community.
The leadership accused some people of the community of meddlesomeness of a matter already in a court of law in the community.
In a notice to this effect, signed by the President-General, Patrice Emeka Unogu, Mrs Gift Ehochi (President EBOP Women), and Tochukwu Ekwegh (President Eziama Progressive Youths), and made available to Saturday Nigerian Horn, also calls on the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Ruby Emele, the commissioner of police, CP Aboki Danjuma, the Director, Directorate of State Security (DSS), to intervene before it is too late.
Using the platform of Eziama Bond of Peace, the leadership says, “The good people of Eziama Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano LGA, Imo State, Nigeria, are using this forum to alert the Executive Chairman of Isiala Mbano Local Government, Hon Evang. Chika Okoroike, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Imo State, the Commissioner of Police Imo State Police Command, and the Director of State Security Services (DSS) of the looking danger/crisis in Eziama Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area orchestrated by some members of the community who have decided to take laws into their hands over an issue pending before the Imo State High Court in -Suit No HMU/63/2024 -Mr Unogu Emeka Patrice & Anor V Eze Sir Dr Ishmael Iheanyichukwu Anyadiegwu & 2 Ors.
“The legislative member representing Osuh-Ama I Añara Ward is not helping matters by posing and supporting the illegality as a lawmaker which makes mockery of fair representation.”
The leadership says, “We do not want to take laws into our own hands. Hence this appeal to peace-loving people if Eziama Autonomous Community to resist taking laws into our own hands no matter the provocation.”
