ADVERTORIAL

The attention of the entire people of Umuduru Ancient Kingdom, Isiala Mbano LGA, made up of three Autonomous Communities has been drawn to a newspaper Advertorial and other public notices put up by a neighbouring Community of Umuelemai, directing that the Isiala Mbano daily market at the Isiala Mbano Headquarters shall not be open for businesses on Wednesday, 8th April, 2026 and Saturday 11th April, 2026 for purposes of burying their late traditional ruler, Eze Romanus Obiechefu, and for the burial of yet another person, Sir V. I. Unogu.

Umuduru Ancient Kingdom wishes to state as follows;

  1. That Umuelemai Community and their President General have by that Advertorial overstepped it’s bounds and cannot order for the closure of the LGA daily market which does not belong to Umuelemai, rather under the direct control of the Isiala Mbano Local Council.
  2. That Umuduru Community remains the true and authentic owners of the entire land hosting the Isiala Mbano Headquarters, as confirmed by the SUPREME COURT of Nigeria since 2003, and reaffirmed by several other court judgements.
  3. That the Isiala Mbano daily market was never closed to businesses during the burials of the late Ezes of the three Autonomous Communities of Umuduru Ancient Kingdom namely, HRH Eze K. L. Duru, HRH Eze GBC Ekejiuba and HRH Eze H. Onyenankeya.
    If such honour was never accorded these noble Traditional Rulers, who were the true landlords, it will therefore amount to betrayal and gross disrespects to their memories to allow such honour for a non – indigenous Eze of our land.
  4. By this publication, Umuduru people wish to inform all business owners within and around the Isiala Mbano Headquarters to ignore the purported order of closure of market by Umuelemai Community on Wednesday, 8th and Saturday, 11th April, 2026 and should carry on with their businesses on those days without let or hindrance
  5. Umuduru people are peace loving, and shall not do anything that will disrupt the burial of Eze R. C. Obiechefu, but will like to remind Umuelemai people in general and their President General in particular, Mr. Kelechi Placid Mbachu that the Supreme Court of Nigeria has confirmed that the entire land mass hosting the Isiala Mbano Headquarters belongs to Umuduru Ancient Kingdom as donated since 1902, irrespective of this later day name which the area bears.
    They should be properly guided.

Signed;

  1. Barr. Sam Amadi
    (President General, Umuduru Autonomous Community)
  2. Chief ABC Lemchi, PhD
    (President General, Luwe nneiri Umuduru, Autonomous Community)
  3. Chief Boniface Onuoha
    (President General, Isiebu Umuduru Autonomous Community)

For and on behalf of the people of Umuduru Ancient Kingdom.
