The progressive youths of Isiala Mbano have enjoined Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha, to contest the 2027, Federal House of Representatives seat, for Okigwe North, while announcing her adoption as their sole candidate for the said election.
The progressive youths made the decision, public during an interactive meeting with some beneficiaries of her numerous attractions and personal generosity.
Explaining further, the youths who were drawn from the three clans, of Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, said their decision was based on her remarkable achievements and the need to maintain continuity for more progress and development in the constituency.
Commending her courage, they celebrated her steadfast commitment to human development and transformative initiatives that have significantly impacted on the lives of young people in Okigwe North constituency.

Her dedication to empowering young individuals has been demonstrated through a myriad of programmes and initiatives designed to uplift and support the next generation.
Among her notable achievements are the provision of federal jobs to numerous youths in Okigwe North, cutting across various Agencies, Ministries, and Parastatals. These provisions, according the youths, have largely combated unemployment and fostered a more stable economic environment for families across her constituency.

In addition to job creation, Hon. Miriam Onuoha has launched several empowerment programmes aimed at equipping young people with valuable skills and resources. These initiatives range from vocational training to entrepreneurial workshops, fostering a spirit of self-sufficiency and innovation among the youth. “Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha believes that empowerment goes beyond providing jobs; it’s about giving us the tools to forge our own paths,” remarked Mrs. Nkechi Onunwa, a participant in the programme who has since started her own business.
Her commitment to education is another cornerstone of her legacy. Through her scholarship initiatives, countless students in Okigwe North have been afforded the opportunity to pursue their academic goals without the burden of financial constraints. “Thanks to her scholarships, I’ve been able to attend university and pursue my dream of becoming a doctor,” stated Onyeka Okafor, a grateful recipient of the scholarship programme. “Hon. Miriam Onuoha has genuinely invested in our future.”
Furthermore, Hon. Princess Onuoha has prioritized the enhancement of social amenities, with a keen focus on improving the quality of life for all constituents. Her initiatives include the development of a good road network, specifically a 3.5 km road that connects Umuokpara to Ezihe, Umuecheke Okwe, and Umuogbuagu. These and many more have been a testament to Ndi Okigwe North.
In addition to road improvements, she has made substantial contributions towards ensuring access to clean water by providing boreholes for various communities, including Ndiekwuru, Imenze Okigwe, Okohia Ward, Umuduru Egbeaguru, Afor Umuna, Ewuru Umunachi, Orie Amaraku, Umuelemai, Umuna Onuimo, and Anara Isiala Mbano.
Her work at the vegetable beds on Okigwe Road, Okwele, and her efforts to empower women by distributing plant seedlings and agricultural implements have not been overlooked in the agriculture sector.
Overall, her efforts have significantly improved living conditions for her constituents.
