OKIGWE ZONE SENATE :Mike Ejiogu , Longers Anyanwu, Okewulonu, Onyirimba, others eye Ndubueze’s seat

As preliminary preparations and strategic alignments for the 2027 general elections gather steam,it appears,the contest for the Okigwe Zone Senatorial seat may become more complex than anticipated as not less than six political heavy weights have thrown in their hats for the Okigwe Zone senatorial seat.

At present, the list includes: High Chief Duru Mike Ejiogu from Isiala Mbano,who intends to run on the platform of the PDP, Chief Longers Anyanwu,native of Obowu LGA, seeking to run as APC candidate,Emma Okewulonu,from Obowo, to run from the ADC, Attorney Charles Onyirimba,Ehime Mbano,also seeking the ADC ticket,Fabian Ihekweme, from Obowo ,seeking the APGA ticket, and Ike Kennedy Odoeme, from Ihitte Uboma, aspiring for the APC ticket.

This is an indication of a fierce political battle for the Okigwe Senatorial seat,in 2027, especially as the incumbent, Patrick Ndubueze is another factor to be reckoned with.
