… Distributes motorcycles to communities to enhance security surveillance
The Executive Chairman of Isiala Mbano LGA, Hon. Evang. Chika Okoroike, has cautioned newly inducted members of the State Vigilant Groups from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area to refrain from being manipulated by leaders, traditional rulers, or politicians in contravention of government policies, and instead utilize their positions to identify and eradicate crimes within their communities.
He said the initiative was aimed to combat crimes in the respective communities, stressing that they should proceed to fish out crimes rather than waiting for when it will occur.
The Chairman gave the riot act Tuesday, March 10, 2026 , at the Isiala Mbano LGA police Divisional headquarters in Umuelemai while addressing and releasing surveillance motorcycles to members of the vigilant groups in each community in the council Area.
This is contained in a release issued by the S.A( Media and Publicity) to the Chairman, Prince UdoGod Agbugba and availed Daily Nigerian Horn.
The Chairman while assuring them of full government backing and support, emphasised that they should Perform their duties without fear, but ensure they adhere to legal approvals. He further stated that additional operational gadgets and tools, which would enhance their sophistication in work, would be issued to them upon arrival.
The surveillance motorcycle was received by the CSO in each of the 39 Autonomous community in Isiala mbano LGA .
Also present during the distribution exercise were the Council leader, Hon. Okechukwu Mgbeosuru, LGA Secretary, Hon. Barr. Chinedu Iwuagwu, Honourable Councilors, LGA DAGs, Chief of Staff, Hon. Golden Uzowuru, the DSS officer in charge of Isiala Mbano LGA, the Police DPO, and other notable personalities.
