CALLS FOR HONEST ACTION,ACCOUNTABILITY, PROBITY, AMONG OTHERS.

Former, Majority Leader, Imo State House of Assembly and member who represented Ikeduru State Constituency, 2019- 2023, the Rt. Honourable Uche Ogbuagu has expressed frustration regarding the current speed of development in MbaIke Federal Constituency.

The erstwhile lawmaker, who stated this on MYRADIO FM 101.1 Owerri during a special interactive session tagged FOR THE LOVE OF MBAIKE, which was simulcast on Radio Stations across Imo State and beyond, plus Social Media Platforms described the level of Abuja representation in the area as elusive in the Hallowed Chambers with no quality developmental project or federal Govt Presence in the Federal Constituency.
He said the byforce House Of Reps occupant is overly abysmally low on scale ,wondering when the Legislative Capacity on campaign billboards would be shown.
Ogbuagu said MBAIKE is being violated by One Family whose stock in trade is to divert funds meant for the development of the people for the acquisition of choice houses in and around the State and Abuja.
He decried the deplorable state of Mbaike roads, high rate of youth unemployment which shouldn’t be trivialized by just playing to the gallery with #8000 Jamb Forms in Exchang of the Victims Voters Cards details.

Ogbuagu said these can only happen where people are not asking questions how their Constituency Projects funds are expended.
He bemoaned the setback Representation and blamed it on unpreparedness and cluelessness on the part of the Seat Occupant.

He warned that if such ugly, non-vibrancy and incognity is allowed to continue, it would make the Area to become a laughing stock, in the comity of federal Constituencies.

Oke Osisi Kufere MBA, regretted that if the people’s choice was allowed to represent them at the Green Chambers, a lot would have been done differently to the delight of all and Glory of God, having lifted Ikeduru to an enviable height through various channels and personal funds during his action filled stint, at the State House of Assembly.

He also queried the current member representing Ikeduru for not attracting or embarking on any projects at all, stressing that being a lawmaker is an opportunity to serve the people and should not be seen as an opportunity to live a soft life to the detriment of the people.

On the state of the people oriented projects he cited at various places in Ikeduru and Mbaitoli, he lamented that they had been abandoned and vandalized simply because they wanted to erase his footprints on the sands of time, instead of leveraging on them and bringing development that would support it, as government is a continuum.

Rt. Hon Ogbuagu cited the Iwunanyawu stadium, Iho, which he built in recognition of the elder Stateman’s roles in the development of Sports in Nigeria,as one of many projects left to deteriorate, describing it as highly despicable and appalling.

The Ikeduru born astute political Leader, appealed for a shift in mindset from reactive repair to proactive, regular upkeep of public assets, infrastructure, and machinery.

He also urged the people of Mbaike to Probe and demand greater accountability from their representatives at all times, because, they deserve to know, what accrues to them from the federation account in terms of development, empowerment, job opportunities, etc.

Speaking on the ongoing electoral reforms, the lawmaker said the world had gone digital and questioned why federal legislators would be kicking against electronic transmission of election results in real time, whereas Banks, telecoms, exams boards, when their political parties are currently engaged in the E- Registration of it’s members.
He lampooned some of the incumbent lawmakers, for shamelessly and surreptitiously working against the only means to credible elections in Nigeria.

The Pride of Mbaike, also said, he is still in Labour Party Nigeria and would be on the ballot in the 2027 because of the continued yearnings of Mbaitolu Ikeduru for Quality Representation, devoid of Absenteeism from Plenary sessions and daily presence in Abuja Nite Clubs.

On Imo State at 50, Uche Ogbuagu stressed that the fiftieth anniversary should mark a turning point for genuine people oriented developmental projects across the State and called on the government of the day to listen to the people more than sycophants.

Also, those, who called during the programme praised him for being out-spoken and condemning the ill in the Area.

They further called for interaction with him so as to present their most pressing needs to him ahead of the general elections slated for next year.
