_ Says, “Are you running for senate or governor”
…..Advises Ngor Okpala people not to follow him to APP
Ex federal lawmaker, Rt Hon Bede Eke, has warned Dr Matthew Chima Amadi, founder of The Mazi Gburugburu Campaign Organisation, against deceiving the people of Ngor Okpala LGA as regards his political ambition.
Eke’s remarks came as a response to Amadi’s recent statement where he said the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are jittery over his recent unveiling of Action Peoples Party as his new party.
Continuing, he accused Amadi of seeking media attention through unfounded attacks on the present administration of Gov Hope Uzodimma.
“Dr Matthew Chima Amadi has toured several local government areas in the state in pretense that he is vying for governor, whereas, most of us are aware he would settle down for the senatorial district election. He continues to mislead the unsuspecting public, deceiving the people of Ngor Okpala and Imolites that he is aspiring to succeed Gov Uzodimma.
Also, Eke disclosed that the Action Peoples Party has no political structure in Imo State, Southeast and Nigeria, as he advised his people not to be deceived by Amadi’s new political party. Ngor Okpala people cannot follow him to a political platform that has no foothold in the state.
Amadi should be bold enough to come public as regards his political ambition, while urging the people of Ngor Okpala to remain focused and believe in the All Progressives Congress, APC and the 3_R administration of Gov Hope Uzodimma that has provided leadership and linked Imo State to the national grid. This present administration has done alot in terms of infrastructure. APC as a political party is gaining more members and more states.
We cannot afford as one of the largest LGAs in the state in terms of voting strength align with a political platform that will deprive us of political relevance come 2027.
Ngor Okpala delivered the All Progressives Congress, APC and Gov Uzodinma in 2023, come 2027, we shall reciprocate the same for the ruling APC, he said.
