The Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), Victor Muruako, Esq., led a delegation of the Commission’s staff to the interdenominational church service held in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

The event, which took place at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja, drew dignitaries from across the tiers of government and featured prayers for national unity, peace, and progress.

Among the high-profile attendees were the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio; the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Senator Tony Nwonye; and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the Minister for Finance, Wale Edun. Other top government officials, religious leaders, and members of the diplomatic corps were also present.

The service marked the beginning of a series of events lined up to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
