In a resounding show of support, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ngor Okpala LGA Chapter, comprising party stalwarts, critical stakeholders, and key leaders, passed an implicit vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
This followed a motion moved by the Honourable Member Representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Obinna Egu, Ph.D., which is described as a testament to the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the development of Ngor Okpala and Imo State.
Speaking earlier during the meeting, the ranking lawmaker emphasized the need for the people to turn out en masse to enroll for the ongoing continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise, stressing that “our collective participation will further strengthen our democracy and guarantee the continuity of good governance in Imo State.”
He also highlighted key projects initiated by Governor Uzodimma, such as ongoing Construction of healthcare centers, Quality Assurance Center, water projects and the upgrade of Imo Airport, among other projects which he described as “a game-changer for Imo state’s economic growth and development.”
He went further to enumerate the appointment of 4 Ngor Okpala citizens as Commissioners and others into the State executive Council and top government positions including appointment of Magistrates and Judges of Ngor Okpala extraction in the judiciary by the Governor, reflecting the Governor’s love for Ngor Okpala People.
The lawmaker’s motion, seconded by the Executive Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. Chief Mrs Chika Ibekwe, was unanimously adopted by the attendees who are prominent Ngor Okpala leaders.
The meeting served as a platform for the party faithfuls to reaffirm their support for Governor Uzodimma’s leadership and policies, which have positively impacted the lives of Imo people.
The attendance of key stakeholders, including Dr Ethelbert Okere, Hon. Kizzito Onuoha, Hon. Theo Ihediuba, Chief Val Okere, Nze Darlington Emeka Okereafor, Hon. Chike Onyeakazi, Hon. George Onwukwe, Hon. Hector Okorafor, and all Honourable Councilors, Supervisory Councilors, Appointees of both State and LGA of Ngor Okpala extraction , Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders, LGA Executives, Government Liason Officers, Community President Generals, Youth Leaders and many others, underscored the unity and solidarity of the party in Ngor Okpala LGA.
As the APC Ngor Okpala LGA Chapter continues to rally behind Governor Uzodimma’s leadership, the people of Ngor Okpala and Imo State in general can expect more development and progress in the State.
