“The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, on Tuesday decorated newly promoted officers of the Command at a colourful ceremony held at the Officers’ Mess, Command Headquarters, Owerri.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Okeye Henry disclosed this in a release he issued on Tuesday and available Daily Nigerian Horn.
It read:
The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, today, 5th August 2025, convened a crucial meeting with strategic managers of the Command, including Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Team Commanders. The meeting focused on strengthening operational strategies and improving public safety across the state.
“In his remarks, the CP congratulated the officers and urged them to remain committed to their duties. He emphasized that “to whom much is given, much is also expected,” and encouraged them to uphold discipline, professionalism, and integrity.
“He further noted that the promotion reflects the officers’ dedication, resilience, and leadership potential. He charged them to view their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility and accountability.
“Highlighting the scale of the promotion, a total of 93 Inspectors were elevated to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), 146 Sergeants were promoted to Inspector, 207 Corporals advanced to the rank of Sergeant, while 2 Police Constables were promoted to Corporal.
“Some of the promoted officers include:
ASP Clarine Onyedinefu, ASP Jasper Ifeanyichukwu, Inspector Adamu Usman, Inspector Anyanwu Nnamdi, Inspector Bright Evulah, Inspector Obasi Esther, Inspector Ahaneku Jane, Inspector Ojilere Nnenna, Sergeant Sabbastine Joshua, Sergeant Njoku Kasarachi, Sergeant Ogom Grace, Sergeant Akubidike Judith, Corporal Ukanu Micheal, Corporal Oka Gift, and Corporal Mmaigbo Emmanuel.
“Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, ASP Clarine Onyedinefu expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police and the Commissioner of Police, Imo State, for the recognition. She pledged that the officers would remain dedicated to public service and the safety of all Imolites.
“The Imo State Police Command remains committed to upholding law and order, promoting peace, and ensuring the security of all residents”.
