“Due to this, SEC passes a vote of confidence on its State Chairman, Barr. Calistus Ihejiagwa, JP, and other state working committee members who are working hand in gloves with him.
This is why we have frowned at the recent indiscipline, disobedience, insubordination, gross misconduct, inciting needless crisis, bringing the Party and its leadership to disrepute with what they tagged Vote of No Confidence against the State Chairman without recourse to the Party’s Constitution or due process by some of our party members – Engr. “We seriously frown against this act of sabotage, and creating unimaginary crisis in the party, and so we have agreed to suspend them with a motion moved towards it and with a voice vote of 63 members out of the 64 members present in the meeting.
“SEC has also constituted a Disciplinary Committee, headed by the first Deputy State Chairman of the party, Dr. Queen Osuala, second Deputy State Chairman, Sir. Engr. Kelechi Ucheghara as Vice Chairman, Hon. Casmir Okorie as Secretary, Hon. Ifeanyi Aguocha, and Hon. Reviewing the state of governance in the state, further passed a vote of no confidence on Governor Hope Uzodimma; the APC led government, saying there is serious hunger and suffering in the state.
They therefore urged the governor to “return to the state from his tourism in Abuja to face governance in the state to make sure Imo people enjoy the dividend of democracy”.
They further urged the members of their party, saying, “remain steadfast, as there is no crisis of any sort in the party nationally and in the state. All officers leaders, stakeholders and members of the party are advised to ensure that all their actions and activities are streamlined with the provision of labour Party constitution going forward, for the party will no longer tolerate any act that is in violation of their constitution.”
