It is no longer news that the transformation agenda of the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli Local Government Area Council in Imo state,Hon.Ifunanya Nwanegwo knows no bounds,as it cuts across all nooks and crannies of the LGA reputed as the most-populous in Imo state.
This is evident in the fact that,on assumption of office,the young and energetic Council Boss swung into action to ensure that the 3-R mantra on ‘Rehabilitation, Reconstruction,and Recovery’ by the Executive Governor of Imo state,Sen.Hope Uzodimma are made manifest and more visible in Mbaitoli LGA than in any other LGA of the state for posterity sake.
Like a footprint on the sands of time,it is worthy of mention that Hon.Nwanegwo has recorded indelible mark in terms of achievements within Hundred Days In office as the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA.
In fact,as he is fondly called” Ochinanwata”, the young Council Boss has no equal simply because, most of his achievements stand the test of time,as a result of his willpower and desire to serve the good people of Mbaitoli LGA by way of dispensing purposeful and people-oriented administration.
A cursory look at the projects executed by Hon.Nwanegwo within 100 days of his election into office as the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA shows that he did not come to play,but to do works with positive impacts in the lives of the people of Mbaitoli LGA.
On assumption of office,he rehabilitated the Amudam-Uhu Road in Awo-Mbieri,UMUAGWU/UMUNWOHA WARD, reconstruction of the Nzereth Church,Obiakabo in Ohaohia Village, rehabilitation of the Okparaunegbu Road, the Nwaorieubi-Awo-Mbieri Road, the Umuduruegwo-Orodo Road,and the Amudam-Awo-Mbieri-Achi-Mbieri Road.
In EZINIHITTE WARD:The Hon.Ifunanya Nwanegwo-led administration rehabilitated the Achi-Mbieri-Ubomiri Road,Eziome-Ubomiri Road, Tenant-Ukwu-Uko-Umudagu Road,Umuemenihe-Umudagu Road,Obinokwu-Achi-Mbieri Road,and Obazu-Nkwo-Orji Road.
AMAIKE WARD: The Nwafor Umuomumu-Umudurueke Road,Iyi Ubakuru Road, and Baptist Umuahii-Obokwe Dimorji Road were given facelift.
OGWA WARD 1: The Idem-Oboro-Umuaru Road,Oboro-Umuokparanyanwu Road.
OGWA WARD 2: Ochii Road,Amaeke-Amankwo-Afor Utushi Road.
ORODO WARD A: Umuduruihezie Road,Umuduruamuka Road,Umudara-Amaku-Isi-Orodo Road,Amaukwu-Umuonye Ofekata Ring Road,and Umudara-Okwu Orodo Ring Road.
ORODO WARD B: Ahaba-Nkwo Orodo Road,Umudimonu-Odumara Orodo Road, Umudara Oboroche-Ubahu Road, and Umuagwu-Amaorji Road.
UMUNOHA/AZARA WARD: Orieamaigwe Road from Igwekala forest junction off Nwaorieubi to Ukwuorji Express Road,St.Patrick’s Catholic Church,Umuokparafor Umunoha Road to Ama Esomonu Amanda/Lawyer Nwosu off Nwaorieubi-Ukwuorji Express Road,all in Umunoha,Orieakpuru-Isieke HRH Eze Osuebi’s palace/Emeabiam Road, Azara-Obiato,and Umuokwaranyanwu Umuokparafor Road off Nwaorieubi-Ukwuorji Express Road, Umunoha.
OGBAKU WARD: Obibi-Okpuala Road,Okwu-Ogbaku Road,Ezi-Ogbaku-Umuekpu Road,and Umukabiri Road.
IFAKALA WARD:Half Kilometre-Umumba-Owere-Umutaku Road,Ama Ozim-Ahiaututu-Uba Mission-Nkwonnudo-Oboro Road,Awo junction-Half Kilometre-Ifakala Road.
UBOMIRI WARD: Ohuba Old Road-Amawuhie-Shanghi Aluminum Road, Filling of some potholes along Akwakuma junction-Ubomiri-Egbeada Old Road,Ishi-Ubomiri-Nkwo Ubomiri Market-Umuogbaka Road, and Umugama Layout Umuocha-Amawuhie Ubomiri Road, and Umunna Estate Road.
AFARA/EZIAMA WARD:Okpuakite Road,Obeabu Nkwokwu Road,and Umueze junction-Orie Owere Afara Road.
A total of 49 community-link roads in Mbaitoli LGA were rehabilitated within 100 days in office by the Executive Chairman,Hon.Ifunanya Nwanegwo.
Apart from road rehabilitation, the Mbaitoli Council Boss executed other projects to include; installation of Solar Hybrid Powered Water Borehole at Odumara-Orodo, installation of Solar Hybrid Powered Water Borehole at Ifakala, installation of Solar Hybrid Powered Water Borehole at Amudam Uhu, Awo-Mbieri Community.
De-roofing and re-roofing of ICT building at the Council headquarters, Nwaorieubi, renovation of the Vice Chairman’s office toilet, evacuation of one of the Refuse Dumps at Ubomiri, completion of 6-room ultra-modern staff toilet, reactivation and conservation of the Nwaorieubi Water Borehole.
The reactivation and conservation of the Achi-Mbieri Water Borehole to Solar Hybrid Powered Water Borehole, donation of SUMEC 40000kva Generator to Umuagboo Village in Awo-Mbieri Autonomous Community.Donation of 500kva/33kv Transformer to Umukabiri-Nsokpo, Ogbaku, donation of 300kva Transformer to Emeabiam, Azara-Obiato Community in Umunoha/Azara ward, and the distribution of 1000 copies of customized Excercise Books to students and pupils of Mbaitoli LGA origin, among others.
