The Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West League of Professionals says the immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State, Engr. Gerald Irona is an ideal 21st century political leader.
Chairman of the organization, Dr. Walter Duru stated this while responding to questions from newsmen in Owerri, weekend.
He described the former Deputy Governor as a selfless leader, whose efforts in making life more meaningful for the people cannot be overemphasized.
He recalled Engr. Irona’s days in office as Deputy Governor of the state, arguing that the federal constituency has never had it so good.
“Yes! The immediate past Deputy Governor, Engr. Gerald Irona is 54. At 54, you will agree with us that he is a selfless leader and relentless crusader of Justice. He has touched the lives of thousands of people directly and indirectly and we can say without fear of contradiction that he is an ideal 21st century leader, whose achievements speak volumes of his person. Look at his days as Deputy Governor, under His Excellency, Rt.
Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. People of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency saw what good governance meant. ISOPADEC was back to life. The people’s funds were used in working for the people. God will bless Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha for the love he showed our people.

Earlier in a birthday felicitation, the group described Engr. Irona as a dependable ally, who has shown immense love for people of the federal constituency and Imo State at large.
