May I continue from where I stopped last edition.
I said in the edition that anger is one of the instruments that the Devil and his agents are using to fight against Christians in this last days. A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel. Do not make friends with hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered.
My friends please refrain from anger and turn from wrath, do not fret, it leads only to evil. The Bible said in the Book of (James 1:19-20) “wherefore my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. (Verse 20) said for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God”.
How do we overcome or avoid anger?, I have the same answer with Bible backing as follows :
DON’T GIVE IN TO WORRY OR ANGER: worries in life can lead us into trouble and it can provoke the anger in us, the Bible said in the Book of (Psalm 37:8) “cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil: My beloved you can agree with me that worries in life does not solve the problem, but rather it will lead you to anger and provocation which can make some one talk against God. People with quick tempers causes a lot of quarrelling and trouble, according to the Book of (Prov 29:22) which says “An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man abounded in transgression”.
KEEP YOUR TEMPER UNDER CONTROL: one of the ways to avoid being angry sometimes is by keeping our temper under control. One can control his or her temper. Yes it is possible with the help of the Holy Spirit in our life. The Bible said in the Book of (Eccle 7:9) “Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools”. I am not trying to say that you are a fool but the Bible refers to those that are hasty to be angry always. The Book of (Colossians 3:8) also said that we should put off all anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of our mouth as Christians and as follows of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the prince of peace, Jesus Christ is a man of peace and any one that must follow him must be like him both in character, speech and otherwise.
Beloved, the Bible did not say that we should not get angry, but we should not let our anger lead us into sin, and we should not stay angry all the day (Ephessians 4:26). People with hot-temper do foolish things, but wiser people remain calm. In the Book of (Ephessians 4:31) the Bible says “let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice”.
KEEP AWAY FROM FOOLISH AND IGNORANT AGUMENT: my beloved, you will agree with me that most of arguments usually lead to quarrels and wraths. As a child of God, you must avoid quarrel, you must be kind towards all, you must be good and patient teacher, who is gentle as you correct your opponents, for it may be that God will give them the opportunity to repent and come to know the truth. The Book of (2Tomothy 2:23-25) “But foolish and unbeared questions avoid; knowing that they do gender strives. (2$) An the servant of the Lord must not strive: but be gentle unto al men, apt to teach, patient, (25) then said in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves: if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the Truth”.
Beloved God said something about anger in the bible in (Mathew 5:21-24) “Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, thou shalt not kill and whoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: (22) Says But, Say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say. Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (23) says Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remember that thy brother hath ought against thee; (24) says leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way, first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” God also said to husbands to love their wives and do not be harsh or bitter with them, you will see that in the book of (Colossians 3:19) he also to anger., lest they be discouraged”. God also said in the book of (Prov 12:16) “A fool’s wrath is presently known; but a prudent man correct shame”.
Beloved do you know that you anger grieves God, you may ask how, you will see the answer in the book of (Ephesians 4:30-31) which says “And grieve not the holy spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of Redemption; (31) says leet all bitterness and wrath, and anger and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice”. So my dear brothers and sisters “take not of this, Eveyone should be quick to listen, slow to speaking and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteousness of God” (James 1:19-20).
Please my brethren, below are some steps one can take to overcome anger and Resentment:-
CONTROL YOUR TEMPER;-When people mistreat us and there is nothing we can do about it, we get angry, it is not fair. Parents see it in their young children who are constantly on the Looking to make sure everything is fair. The gut reaction to get angry in the face of unfairness never really gives away. God’s word says that we are to control our tempers, even in the face of unfairness. Bible says sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs “(Prov 19:11). “The book of “(Luke 6:31)” says “And as you would like and desire that men would do to you, do exactly so to them”.
DON’T LET YOUR ANGER CCONTROL YOU: Beloved please I beg you don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about if overnight and remain silent, don’t let sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. (Psalm 4:4 and (Ephesians 4: 26-27).” Please my beloved stop being angry, turn from your rage, do not loose your temper, it only leads to harm. “(Psalm 37:8)”.
FORGIVENESS: Beloved always pray that you can forgive that person who is making you angry, take it so serious and God will hear your prayer and give you an answer.
In the book of (Ephesians 4:31-32) says “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tender heartred, forging one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you”
LOVE: Beloved I know that loving your enemy is very difficult, but with the grace of God you can do it. The Bible says in the book of (Luke 6:35) “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and Lend, hoping for nothing again: and you reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the highest; for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.:
I also conclude by introducing you to the Prince of peace who is our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross of Calvary more than two thousand years ago for you and I, so that we can be save and leave a good life on earth. Jesus loves you even as you may be a sinner, he still love you. He want you to make heaven. He is coming very soon. Give you life to Him today and your life will not be the same. Amen.
