The people of Umuchima Autonomous Community in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State will have course to be happy, as Uzotex Charity Foundation (UCF) as part of its social and philanthropic commitments to humanity has advanced plans to offer their sick ones with comprehensive free medical services.
According to Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, the founder and financier of the non-governmental organization “This annual programme started last year. This is its second edition, and it is being organized in partnership with the corporate friends of the foundation that includes Vixa Pharmaceuticals, Risto First Alliance Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Rinnoson Drugs Ltd, Anderson Pharmaceuticals, Ltd, Shanghai Ltd and Starcent Resources and Industries Ltd”.
Mbisiogu informed that over 40 medical doctors which include. Specialists, consultants and other medical personnels will be on hand to attend to the out patients for the one day free medical outreach programme which will hold at Uzotex Foundation, Umuchima Health Centre and relevant drugs will be provided by the six pharmaceutical companies that are partnering with the foundation.
He also assured that adequate security arrangements as well as free transportation services have been made to ensure that people living within and outside Umuchima environ benefits adequately from the programme.
The founder of Uzotex Charity Foundation further revealed that he was touched by poor health facilities being availed to his people and enjoined the state government on the need for improvement on community health delivery system.
He passionately appealed to wealthy individuals and corporate organizations on the need to be philanthropic in the overall interest of humanity while lamenting on the sufferings of the poor masses noting that the best services ever rendered in life is that rendered to mankind as a social responsibility.
