The General Manager of the Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO), and Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, Hon. Alex Emeziem Jnr. has promised to give the operations of his commission a human face by operating within the ambit of the law.
Emeziem however read riot act to residents, traders and others who are always in the habit of flouting laid down rules and regulations.
The ENTRACO boss disclosed this on Sunday while inspecting ongoing projects of the commission within the municipality.
He revealed that his second phase as Entraco General Manager will focus on enforcement of Imo state ENTRACO law so that defaulters shall be subjected to pay fine.
The former lawmaker therefore vowed not to tolerate or condole any form of indiscipline from ENTRACO staff or the adhoc workers.
Emeziem disclosed that ENTRACO under his watch has created several job opportunities for Imolites but regretted that they are encountering challenges from traders who have refused to move inside the government constructed markets.
According to him, he has succeeded in vacating the illegal motor parks at Assumpa avenue and Owerri Girls avenue, while in serious negotiation for other illegal parks to relocate.
The former legislator said ENTRACO he has solved the flood menace at Orji community while the commission has ongoing project at Tetlow Road by Mere Street; Royce road by West end Junction; Douglas Road by Ama JK; Ware-House by Control junction bridge and other places.
Emeziem further revealed that the commission will plant 5000 trees within 2019 raining season while the Imo State University (IMSU) junction round about would be removed to end the frequent fatal accidents.
